Rod Sullivan appeared as a maritime expert on NPR in connection with the sinking of the Korean ferry Sewol off the coast of South Korea. He also appeared on the Korean Broadcasting System in connection with that sinking in April of 2014. Over three hundred passengers and crew were killed in that disaster.
